Il programma raccoglie una selezione di recenti (2006-2009) performance e composizioni di musica sperimentale centrate sull'esecuzione di compiti minimi – la lettura silenziosa, l'ascolto, rammemorazione, trascrizione e riproduzione di gesti e suoni. Nel loro insieme, e ciascuna a suo modo, queste composizioni spostano l'attenzione dello spettatore dall'esecuzione fisica di suoni e gesti codificati in partiture predefinite o generate nel corso dell'esecuzione, al sostrato cognitivo dell'esecuzione stessa: la "perfomance mentale" che sottende ogni situazione performativa di carattere fisico e sonoro. Queste composizioni, in altre parole, spostano il luogo della perfomance dall'esterno all'interno, invitando lo spettatore a riconoscere quello che vede e sente come una semplice traccia, un indice, un correlato percettibile della perfomance privata che si svolge nella mente dell'esecutore nel corso dell'esecuzione.
Tutti i lavori in programma sono prime esecuzioni italiane. Il programma comprende inoltre la prima esecuzione assoluta di A Few Voices (Polyphony I-III) di G. Douglas Barrett, Film 4: East of Eden e Two Homes di Francesco Gagliardi, Nothing is Very Simple e Some Forgotten Day di Mark So.
