Tall Brown Boots is an inter-media performance trio co-founded by pianist David Broome, flautist Natacha Diels, and cellist Jessie Marino. Boots evolved out of a need for these three musicians to break the mold of the contemporary concert program. They draw inspiration from the realms of music, theater, and improvisation, working to create an environment where the performers and audiences role is questioned during the concert experience. In their inaugural season Tall Brown Boots will be performing some of their own structured improvisations alongside collaboratively composed works for sound based performance art and newly commissioned works by emerging composers for flute, cello and piano.
