Description
For Jodie Buxton

Score / Notes
To be performed during a telephone conversation.

A person, on either side of the line, sounds a sustained whistle as monotonous as possible or desired. The other person then joins them, matching the other's pitch and any deviations in pitch to the best of their ability. The ensuing audio beat patterns are relished by the performers. When they have run out of breath, the performers can restart over again for as long as possible; overlapping, overtaking and the falling out of phase of the performers to one another are encouraged;

"Person 1 initiates the tone which is then followed by person 2. Person 2 runs out of breath and whistles again for a second time at a different pitch whilst person 1 is still on their first tone; person 1 matches the deviation with a portamento..."
