Omissis Festival Palazzo Monte d'Pieta Gradisca d'Isonzo, Italy 2008 In Self-Contained: Pyramid Study II, performed in Italy this past fall, the installed giant linen pyramid, stoic and centered, acts as a martyr between nostalgia and the contemporary. Interacting with this penetrable pyramid, the onlooker enters with my body.. finding refuge.. propelled into meditation. As the concept of entertainment turns inward and a trance-like intrigue deepens, gashes are met with color owing down the sides of this great structure. Emotional and spiritual memory is being created with each new infliction.
