“The Everyday Exchange” is a performance piece for two people.   It has two variations: the “Boston-area interact-with-Tim” version, and the “anywhere do-it-yourself” version.

1.Meet up with a friend, and tell each other about your routine activities (commuting, grocery shopping, laundry, what you usually have for breakfast, etc.)

 

2.Make something based on what you’ve learned about your friend’s routine activities This can be an artwork, a song, a poem, a dance routine… The possibilities are endless…

 

3.Arrange to meet your friend the next time he or she is at one of these routine locations (a subway platform, the grocery store, etc.)

 

4.Give your friend the artwork you have made. Or read your poem out loud. Or sing your song. Or dance your dance. Or…
