All artists who post to this site remain the sole copyright holders of their work, and are releasing their work under a Creative Commons license. Remember that the purpose of Creative Commons is simply to give others permission to use your work in advance, if attribution is given and certain other conditions are followed. This prevents this site's visitors from having to contact you every time they want to use or perform your work if their intentions are within the bounds of your selected Creative Commons License. Any of the following conditions can of course be waived if a user contacts you and you decide to give them further permission. In every case, however, creators always keeps their copyright to their work, no matter what.

 

Please explore the Creative Commons licensing options below, and think about how you might apply it to the works you're contributing or downloading & performing. However, in making your work available on this website, each artist is agreeing to offer it to the public-at-large with the understanding that it may be downloaded for free and then performed by anyone, without any guarantee of ever being notified or compensated.

Additional Requests

In addition to this, you can also add specific instructions to visitors to add whatever non-legally binding stipulations you might have, for instance:

• "Please consult before performing..."
• "It'd be great if you could send me any documentation, or cook me dinner..."
• "Just go for it, you have my blessings..."
• "If performed, please take a moment to add an entry to my 'Recent Performances' listing..."

 

Please note that any other stipulations made on contributor pages beyond the Creative Commons license are simply requests and are not in any way legally binding. It is requested that visitors observe the contributors' wishes, simply out of kindness, but not for fear of legal or financial retribution. If you're afraid of someone using your scores in the "wrong" way, then please don't upload it to Upload .. Download .. Perform . net.
